This paper proposes a social network Sina Weibo integrated sensor platform for precision agriculture to effectively provide various agricultural services. As a case study, a greenhouse environment monitoring system employing our proposal method has been developed. Experiment results show that this system can reduce the burden of the implementation and management of wireless sensor network (WSN), and the proposed approach is feasible, cost-effective and flexible for exploiting a social networks-based wireless monitoring system quickly.To the best of our knowledge, our proposed system is the first work to integrate Bluetooth v4.0 wireless technology, smartphone-based field server (gateway), and a social networks Sina Weibo application to improve the agricultural services of precision agriculture.
Nowadays, wearable sensors play a vital role in the detection of human motions, innovating an alternate and intuitive form in human–computer interaction (HCI). In this study, we present a novel real-time wearable system for finger air-writing recognition in three-dimensional (3D) space based on the Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense as an edge device, which can run TensorFlow Lite to realize recognition and classification on the device. This system enables users to have the freedom and flexibility to write characters (10 digits and 26 English lower-case letters) in free space by moving fingers and uses a deep learning algorithm to recognize 36 characters from the motion data captured by inertial measurement units (IMUs) and processed by a microcontroller, which are both embedded in an Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense. We prepared 63000 air-writing stroke data samples of 35 subjects containing 18 males and 17 females for convolutional neural network (CNN) training and achieved a high recognition accuracy at 97.95%.
In this paper, a novel dual module redundancy (DMR) logic circuit structure is proposed to harden the standard cells in the large combinational circuits. Three-dimensional TCAD simulation results present that this hardening structure can ultimately eliminate the SET pulse. Based on this DMR logic circuit structure and the layout placement adjustment technique, the partial hardening approach is used to harden the large combination circuits.
