A novel method for mode optimization of a high-power laser is presented in this paper. A binary optical resonator is formed through introducing binary optical technology into a laser resonator. The traditional spherical mirrors are substituted by binary optical mirrors. Diffraction analyses show that this kind ofresonator can construct any modes as desired with a strong ability ofmode selecting and optimization. For a high-power CO2 laser, an optimum design of the binary optical resonator is implemented to obtain a fundamentalmode laser output with a uniform intensity distribution.
The principle and structure of linear rectangular prismatic scanner are analysed. The linear scanning shiFt nathematic model of the scanner is derived in this paper. By analysing, showed that if the parameters of tlie scanner are selected correctly. the maximum linear scanning deviation can be controlled in a small interval. The angkllarity measurement accuracy of large axle can reach subinicrorneter level.
