Abstract:The forests in Yunnan province are dense and precious. Meanwhile, the forests fire happens frequently. There are ten models generated with two modeling methods in the study area, Yunnan province. In this paper, the spatial autocorrelation method was applied to analyze and evaluate the performance of fire ignition probability models. The results show that: 1) the models generated by geography weight logistic regression method are better than the ones created by binary logistic regression method; 2) compared with other models, the Model 7 is optimal in terms of evaluating by the quantitative spatial autocorrelation method. The results are of significance for making decisions of establishing early warning systems.
ABSTRACT:The organization and utilization of information resources are emphasis and difficulty for urban and rural planning management. In addition to traditional text data, there are massive and multi-source heterogeneous spatial data. It is necessary to build an integrated platform to manage these data. In order to improve the efficiency of management of urban and rural planning, the concept of One Map is introduced in this paper. By combining One Map with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), an Urban and Rural Planning Spatial Information Platform (URPSIP) is designed and developed. URPSIP is based on Client/Server structure. Spatial data is stored in Oracle relational database, and accessed through ArcSDE, which is a spatial database engine. URPSIP could provide a visual working platform to browse, query, analyze and share data expediently in one map. Finally, a case study in Wuhan indicated that URPSIP is able to significantly integrate current resources of planning and improve the efficiency of management of urban and rural planning.
Regional industry competition is a momentous aspect of regional geographic information engineering. It is quite vital to investigate industrial competitiveness in both theoretical and practical fields. In this paper, the principle and procedure of principal component analysis (PCA) were respectively introduced in detail. The empirical study and comparative analysis of the regional economic competitiveness was conducted by setting some economic indicators. At the same time, SPSS software was applied to extract available geographic information elements which indirectly reflected the enhancement of industrial competitiveness. By analyzing and comparing the economic development of the 16 cities during 2013, we sought out the primary geographic elements affecting the growth trend, and then calculated the overall score of each city in Anhui Province according to comprehensive evaluation model. The results of spatial analysis indicated that the overall score was consistent with each city's economic strength. The analysis in this paper certainly makes sense to provide theoretical reference and practical value for overall economic strength and sustainable regional construction.
The temporal and spatial variation information of the land use illustrates a city's development tendency. In this paper, we obtained three land use maps by interpreting and classifying the remote sensing images of different periods in Taiyuan. Then, the area of different land use types was calculated by vector conversion module in ENVI software. Furthermore, we carried out the fusion of attribute information and obtained the corresponding land use conversion matrix by ArcGIS software. Finally, the analysis of land transfer speed and influence factors was conducted by applying the dynamic degree model of land type. The results can provide reliable references to make decisions for the local urban development.
