A tubal knitted scaffold fabricated from poly(lactic acid) (PLA) yarns was given in this work. The performance of the scaffold during degradation in vitro and the morphology of the scaffold with cells (monkey dermal fibroblasts) were examined. The scaffold fabricated from poly(glycolic acid) (PGA) yarns was manufactured as the control. Results showed that the PLA scaffold could keep much more tensile strength during degradation in vitro, compared with the PGA scaffold. However, cell attachment and proliferation on the PGA scaffold were better than on the PLA scaffold.
The acoustic insulation and hydrophobic properties of a new non-woven material were analyzed and discussed in this paper. The new non-woven material absorbs sound energy to transfer into heat energy by friction between viscosity of air near fiber and fiber. The acoustic insulation properties of the new non-woven material, polyurethane foam and felt were measured. With the same thickness and half weight of felt, the sound absorption coefficient of non-woven was 20~30% higher than felt. Further more, with the same weight of felt, the sound absorption coefficient of non-woven was50~60% higher than felt. However, the sound absorption coefficients of non-woven materials with different thickness and weight were also discussed. The amount of the sound absorption coefficient gradient increased with the increase of thickness and frequency. Comparing the existing sound absorption materials, the new non-woven material has high sound absorption, light weight, hydrophobic property, workability, and flame resistance property. The non-woven material can improved thermal insulation and sound absorption by combining conventional non-woven with aluminum evaporated film.So the new nonwoven material has been widely applied in industries to reduce noises, especially in the car.
In the present paper, we introduce the concepts of Prüfer sheaves and adic sheaves over a weighted projective line of genus one or an elliptic curve, show that Prüfer sheaves and adic sheaves can classify the category of coherent sheaves. Moreover, we describe the relationship between Prüfer sheaves and generic sheaves, and provide two methods to construct generic sheaves by using coherent sheaves and Prüfer sheaves.
In this paper, Poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PGLA) fibers were treated with the plasma. The surface, tensile strength, and contact angle with water of the PGLA fiber were investigated. The results showed that the PGLA fiber after treatment possessed more rough surface and smaller contact angle with water compared with the untreated fiber, but the tensile strength of fiber after treatment was not significantly diffrent form the fiber before treatment. In addition, both the treated and untreated PGA fibers were placed in phosphate buffer solution (PBS) (pH=7.4) at 37 °C up to 2.5 weeks to investigate the effect of plasma treatment on the degradation in vitro. Changes in tensile strength during degradation was investigated. The results showed that the treated PGLA fiber degraded faster compared with the untreated fiber.
A tricot stitch knitted fabric has been used in medical stents, such as tracheal stents and external stents. Both geometric form and porosity of the stent are key factors in clinical use. One loop of the tricot stitch knitted fabric was divided into seven parts, and the loop form was analyzed. The geometric characteristics under extreme condition for both latitudinal and longitudinal extension were given. The relationships between geometrical parameters of a tricot stitch knitted fabric were obtained.
