The Air Force has stated that their objectives for the ICAM system include software portability, integration of software modules and, potentially, distributed data processing. These requirements lead to a consistent set of recommendations for programming languages, data base management, and operating systems. This would require better identification of relevant statements in the CLDATA file, perhaps through flags, comment statements, etc. to allow for possible editing.
