Keywords: Water quality. Monitoring. Watershed. Abstract The present study was carried out in the Itapocu River watershed, Santa Catarina -Brazil. The main purpose of this article was the spatiotemporal analysis of the water quality parameters, during the period from 2014 to 2019, in the main sub-basins affluent to the Itapocu River, through an analysis of technical monitoring reports. Several parameters as thermotolerant coliforms,Escherichia coli, biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5), total phosphorus, total ammonia nitrogen, nitrate, dissolved oxygen, pH, turbidity, and true color were evaluated. The results of the reports were analyzed considering the Resolution 357/2005 of the National Council for the Environment (CONAMA). Results of the spatiotemporal analysis of the water quality parameters showed a correlation between the predominant land uses in the sampling points along with the registered precipitation regime. Furthermore, suggestions, and improvement strategies for future monitoring programs in the Itapocu river watershed are proposed.
