This study consists of an aut‐ and a synecological part. The latter is concerned with the specific environmental formations. The investigations attempt to qualitatively as well as quantitatively clarify the structures of grasshopper ecocoenoses. The formations are defined according to their morphological and vegetational structure. These formations are systematised by forming two theoretical transects, i.e. a marine and a fluviatile transect (diag. 2). In an unaffected delta these should influence all relevant formations. The defining factors — moisture and salinity — show graded values. The diverse diagrams (3–10) schematically exhibit the vegetation and grasshopperfauna of the specific formations.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
