An 84-year-old man with nonmetastatic castrate-sensitive prostate cancer was referred for a 68 Ga-prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) PET/CT scan with a prostate-specific antigen level of 3.6 ng/mL for restaging. He was 22 years post-radical prostatectomy and had salvage radiation being managed with intermittent hormonal therapy. Imaging revealed a right lower lobe mass with increased PSMA uptake (SUV max 6.2). Biopsy and subsequent immunostaining determined the mass to be diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. We report a case of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma diagnosed in the setting of PSMA positivity, highlighting awareness for oncologists and radiologists to know this possibility.
A 61-year-old man underwent a piflufolastat 18F prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) PET/CT scan due to a rising prostate-specific antigen level. The scan noted a focal cortical erosion on the CT scan in the right anterolateral tibia, and the PET showed an SUVmax of 4.08. A biopsy of this lesion revealed a chondromyxoid fibroma. This rare case of a PSMA PET-positive chondromyxoid fibroma illustrates the importance of radiologists and oncologists not to assume an isolated bone lesion on a PSMA PET/CT scan as a bone metastasis from prostate cancer.
A decade ago it was generally expected that the electric vehicle would represent a clean and practical alternative to gasoline fueled vehicles. The subsequent failure of electric vehicles to be commercialized and used on a significant scale has been a combination of continued improvements of performance and decreased emissions from gasoline vehicles coupled with the fundamental limitations of electric batteries in terms of weight, energy storage capacity and charge and discharge rates.
