Federated Identity Management is considered a promising approach to facilitate secure resource sharing between collaborating partners. A structured survey has been carried out in order to document the benefits of adopting such systems from a user and business perspective, and also to get an indication on how Integrated Operations in the oil and gas industry can benefit from identity federations. This has resulted in a set of benefit categories grouping existing claims from researchers. The literature indicates that adoption of Federated Identity Management in Integrated Operation seems like a good idea, however, there are several challenges that need to be solved.
This paper presents a set of practical techniques and tools for creating secure software with a special focus on the design phase of the development lifecycle. The target group is the ordinary "developer-on-thestreet", who is not primarily interested in (or knowledgeable about) security, but must focus on designing/implementing as much functionality as possible before the deadline and on budget.
Abstract-Model driven development (MDD) is considered a promising approach for software development. In this paper the results of a systematic survey is reported to identify state-of-theart within the topic of security in model driven development, with a special focus on finding empirical studies. We provide an introduction to the major secure MDD initiatives, but our survey shows that there is a lack of empirical work on the topic. We conclude that better standardisation initiatives and more empirical research in the field is necessary before it can be considered mature.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
