This investigation makes observations in the reception of raw material, warehouse and production, to define the percentage of scrap or waste that is had. It is intended to solve these losses, since the percentage of waste adds up to 10%, financially affecting the volume of production of finished product and the costs of farmers who supply said raw material. The objective is to propose an economic valuation of grade 2 asparagus, which helps to reduce monetary losses for farmers and increase profits for the collecting company. Delivery quantities of five asparagus producers are recorded during the months of May to July that supplies the collector who selects and packs the final product. With cost analysis, a comparison is made of values such as incoming kilograms, kilograms usable for export, prices at which farmers are paid and the price at which it is intended to sell in the local market in addition to presenting monetary amounts of recovery to the apply reverse logistics in the company. The result obtained represents the loss of asparagus and a proposal for use is proposed to be sold and how much it would contribute per season when implementing this proposal.
The objective of this research is to estimate the income elasticity of demand for environmental services of three ecosystems in Mexico. In the three studies of stated preferences about the willingness to pay for an environmental quality improvement project, we used a sample size of 289 observations for the Primas Basalticos ecosystems and 150 for the La Michilía Biosphere Reserve and the Molino de Las Flores National Park. The selection of interviewees was random among visitors. To carry out the estimation, a cluster analysis was carried out to determine the income strata, where the indicator was formulated and calculated in each ecosystem for three income strata (high, medium and low) based on a segmentation of the consumers of recreational services through the two-stage clustering method. In this way, the recreational services of the three ecosystems in both cases behave as a normal good; that is, if the income of the high and middle income consumer increases, the demand for recreational services will increase less than proportionally.
China and the main United States of America producing strawberry countries in 2016, contributed as a whole more than forty per cent of the entire volume of strawberry produced in the world. Spain, the United States of America, Mexico and Netherlands are the main exporting countries, while the main importer countries were the United States of America, Germany, Canada, France and the United Kingdom; the same year, Mexico occupied the third place like producing and third place between the exporting countries. In the previous context, this one investigation raises the analysis of the competitiveness of the strawberry produced in Mexico as regards Spain and the United States of America those who are the biggest exporters of the product on a global scale; by means of the calculation of the index of revealed comparative advantage of Vollrath (IVCR) for the period 1994-2016, the analysis of the indicator recounts that the competitiveness was increasing and that Mexico is provided with a comparative advantage revealed in the strawberry exportation
In the present investigation, the evaluation carried out with different methods served to determine the level of production and the economic competitiveness of livestock projects. The evaluation of the project aims to identify the advantages and disadvantages associated with the investment, so the implemented analysis method is useful for making rational decisions regarding different alternatives, especially when a development program is involved in the project, such as This is the case of the "Reliable Supplier" Program in livestock farming. Methods used that served to provide more accurate information on the generation of income and the level of competitiveness of companies, is the financial analysis and evaluation. Only the monetary aspect of the project is considered, with the objective of determining its profitability in terms of money flow. The research starts from the study of the “Reliable Supplier” Program, which focuses on the eradication of the use of Clenbuterol in animal feed, making meat producers aware of the importance of developing procedures that reduce the potential of contaminants in food, that can damage the final product, and that generate a health problem for consumers.
Mexico has an extension of railways that has not presented great variations through time. In spite of this, it does not lose importance in comparison with highways that have been increasing their construction and modernization. Therefore, the objective of the present investigation is to analyze the costs of rail and road land transportation as a proposal that optimizes the distribution of cargo merchandise in general in Mexico. This research is broken down into: the identification and selection of general cargo transportation routes to gather information on distances, time, transportation costs; the calculation of rail and road transportation costs of the selected routes as a comparative for decision making in the mobilization of merchandise; and finally the processing and modeling of the information that allows minimizing the costs of the routes in the mobilization of general cargo merchandise in the transportation types. The analysis carried out allowed to conclude that great efforts have been made focused on developing and increasing competitiveness in the railway system in Mexico, but it has not been able to strengthen itself as the most used mean of cargo transporting, even though, the rail transportation cost are lower than motor transportation for a same route.
