"The Impact of Continuing Education on the Nursing Profession" was developed as a presentation for the 1982 American Nurses' Association 53rd Convention held in Washington, D.C. The Executive Committee of the Council on Continuing Education developed the presentation, parts of which were not presented at the convention. The intent of the Executive Committee in sharing the following material is to provide a broad overview of the state-of-the-art and some projections of the future and to examine a few key issues in greater depth. The Journal of Continuing Education in Nursing welcomes responses and comments.
