Obviously, finding a new editor for JLD was a task we approached with great care. We wanted an editor who (a) could continue to make the journal a major resource for professionals interested in learning disabilities, (b) had a long familiarity with the focus and contributions of this periodical, and (c) had earned the respect of professionals in the field. We found Dr. Sharon Vaughn to be the embodiment of these characteristics. I am sure you will find the results of our search very satisfactory.Dr. Vaughn is particularly qualified for her new position, having extensive experience as a direct service provider, teacher trainer, and scholar.
