The anthropochore millipede fauna of Asian Russia is reviewed, based on the available literature records, as well as new samples from the Altai Province and only partly published, freshly revised material [Nefediev, Nefedieva, 2006, 2011]. The julid genus Brachyiulus Berlese, 1884, as well as B. jawlowskii Lohmander, 1928, are new to the millipede faunas of Asian Russia and Kazakhstan. The polydesmid genus Brachydesmus Heller, 1858 and B. superus Latzel, 1884 are reported from Asian Russia for the first time. Both the genus Poratia Cook et Cook, 1894 and P. digitata (Porat, 1889), as well as the family Pyrgodesmidae they belong to, are formally new to the millipede fauna of Russia. The subcosmopolitan Nopoiulus kochii (Gervais, 1847) is recorded in Kazakhstan for the first time. Remarks are provided for all of the anthropochore species of the study area, all being mapped as well.
The genus Sibiriulus Gulička, 1963, which has hitherto been known to comprise only four species, is rediagnosed and shown to include seven species from Siberia, Russia. Three species are described here as new to science: S. latisupremus sp. nov., S. baigazanensis sp. nov., S. aktashensis sp. nov. The species Sibiriulus profugus (Stuxberg, 1876) is recorded in the fauna of the Altai Province and the Republic of Altai for the first time. All currently known species of Sibiriulus are keyed and mapped, including the new species.

Based on fresh faunistic material from the study area, the present paper supplements the regional list of millipedes with new records. The distribution of millipedes along an altitudinal gradient in the south of Lake Teletskoye, Altai, Russia based on new samples from the Kyga Profile sites, as well as on partly published and freshly revised material (Mikhaljova et al. 2007, 2008, 2014, Nefedieva and Nefediev 2008, Nefediev and Nefedieva 2013, Nefedieva et al. 2014), is established. The millipede diversity is estimated to be at least 15 species and subspecies from 10 genera, 6 families and three orders. The bulk of species diversity is confined both to low- and mid-mountain chern taiga forests and high-mountain shrub tundras, whereas the highest numbers, reaching up to 130 ind./m², is shown in subalpine Pinus
sibirica sparse growths. Based on clustering studied localities on species diversity similarity two groups of sites are defined: low-mountain sites and subalpine sparse growths of Pinus
sibirica ones.
Altajosoma corniferum sp. n. is described from the Republic of Altai, Siberia, Russia. The new species differs from congeners mainly by the large, horn-shaped lateral sheath processes of the posterior gonopod colpocoxites. New faunistic records for Altai are given for other species of the family Diplomaragnidae. All currently known members of Diplomaragnidae from Altai are keyed, including the new species.
