A combination of spectroscopic and catalytic investigations led to the surprising conclusion that not isolated W VI species but WO 3 oxide is the most active and stable phase for olefin epoxidation with H 2 O 2 . Optimal activity was subsequently found for a nanoparticulate WO 3 prepared by flame aerosol technology. This material is characterized by a 50% increase in activity per W VI site, and a 35-fold increase in space time yield, compared with the current benchmark catalyst.
Hydrogen from natural gas with CO2 capture can be a key transition technology to a low carbon energy system due to the abundance of natural gas and the possibility to...
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
