Considerations for the treatment of concrete beams crossed by secondary steel beams is discussed. Even where data are available, they have been used beams of its kind since 2013, especially in the province of Manabí, Ecuador. It is known so far four buildings in which this solution has been used. Besides construction of such projects in the Republic of Cuba, in the area of Mariel. However, structural analysis of this type of construction has been markedly empirical being. The scope of the recommendations of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) for embedded in concrete, and the use of these regulatory provisions to the location of the opening in beams under study is discussed in this paper. To analyze the behavior of the cross section, the method of moment versus curvature (M-ϕ ) is used, modeling the behavior of concrete with the proposed linear pattern and tri Mander model for the behavior of the steel by ETABS software. It is evident in the analysis of moment decreases the ability to invade the hollow block compressions. If it is a steel beam crosses and invades the block compressions improves moment but in cross section, requiring another type of treatment for the overall performance level of the longitudinal section. scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
