Phenylsulfone difluorodiazoethane (PhSOCFCHN), an easy-to-prepare and bench-stable masked CF-building block, has been developed. The synthetic utility of this reagent is demonstrated by a direct regioselective [3 + 2] cycloaddition with electron-deficient alkynes and alkenes. This protocol enables facile construction of an array of difluoromethyl-substituted pyrazoles in good to high yields under mild reaction conditions.
An unprecedented silver-catalyzed 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction of isocyanides with diazo compounds to afford 1,4-disubstituted 1,2,3-triazoles is realized.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
