The Covid-Event and the Folds Care and Safety: Challenges for Socioeducation discusses changes in the daily life of juvenile justice system at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on the ethical-aesthetic-political paradigm and taking the Covid-19 pandemic as an analyser, we think in what ways security and care folds intersect in social education and how psychology practices can produce breaches to enforce a policy of care, understood as practices of listening, welcoming, guaranteeing and defending the rights of adolescents and youth deprived of their liberty. We question whether there is a politics of care in an institution that operates under the aegis of discipline and body control.
