Density, conductance, transference number, tracer diffusion (cation, anion, and water), and mutual diffusion data are reported for aqueous solutions of lanthanum chloride at 25 °C in the general concentration range 0.05 mol dm"1 23 to saturation (about 3.35 mol dm"3). These data, in conjunction with activity coefficient data available in the literature, enable the calculation of generalized coefficients such as Hertz's velocity correlation coefficients. The concentration dependence of these coefficients is similar to those obtained recently for the alkaline earth halides.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
