The quality of groundwater inan area is just as essential as the quantity. The groundwater quality of the Bemetera Block of Chhattisgarh State, in terms of domestic and irrigation use was studied. The hydrogeochemical evaluation, demonstrates that except of TH, SO42-, Ca2+, Mg2+, and Fe, all measured physical parameters in the study area fell within the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) limit. Further, certain sampling locations, such as S5 (Deep Aquifer), S9, S13, and S20, have a negative influence on drinking water quality as compared to others (shallow aquifer). Along with water quality analysis for the driking purpose, the irrigation water quality of the area was examined using several methods, and observed that most of the samples are suitable for domestic and irrigation purposes and some are not suitable.
