Aluminium-based hybrid composites are well known for their great strength and wear resistance. In the aluminum matrix, the inclusion of reinforcements improves the strength and hardness. So, it is essential to study the tensile strength and wear behaviour of the developed samples. In this paper, aluminium-based hybrid composites are fabricated by incorporating graphite and Al2O3 in the aluminum base. The samples were prepared with varying reinforcement content and process constraints in a stir casting machine. The sliding behaviour was studied by measuring the wear rate by employing Taguchi analysis.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
