Spinel LiMn 2 O 4 and LiMg 0.2 Mn 1.8 O 4 have been synthesized by a soft chemistry method using citric acid as the chelating agent and acryl amide as the gelling agent. This technique offers better homogeneity, preferred surface morphology, reduced heat treatment conditions, sub-micron-sized particles, and better crystallinity. The synthesized spinel materials are characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, cyclic voltammetry, and charge-discharge studies.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
