The piezoelectric and nonlinear optical properties of diphenylalanine peptide tubes have been investigated. The structure of peptide tubes has been studied, and the analysis of the anisotropy of the piezo electric and nonlinear optical responses during the thermally induced phase transition (T = 150°C) has been performed. It has been shown that, both during homogeneous and local heatings in a laser beam, the observed phase transition is reconstructive.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
