A series of new triazole derivatives of quinazolin‐4(3H)‐one and new oxadiazole derivatives of quinazolin‐4(3H)‐one were synthesized. The newly synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and mass spectral data. All the newly synthesized compounds were screened for antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis (gram‐positive bacteria), Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa (gram‐negative bacteria), and antifungal activity was carried out against Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger.
A series of novel 2,4,6‐trisubstituted quinazoline derivatives were synthesized starting from 2‐amino‐5‐bromobenzoic acid. The structures of the newly synthesized compounds were established by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and mass spectral data. All the compounds were tested for antimicrobial activity.
H as a Catalyst for the Preparation of Bisindolyl and Trisindolyl Methanes in Aqueous Media. -Advantages of the presented method are operational simplicity and remarkably short reaction times. -(RANI, V. J.; VANI, K. V.; RAO*, C.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
