Mathematics learning in the era of 4.0 must be oriented to the aspects of higher-order thinking skills that important for any mathematics subject including discrete mathematics. The online learning caused Covid-19 pandemic influence many aspects of mathematics learning and skills. The purpose of this study was to analyse students’ higher-order thinking skills in the discrete mathematics subject during COVID-19 Pandemic using Two-Tier Multiple Choice (TTMC) instrument. This research was conducted from March to May 2020. Subjects in this study were 11 students of class IIB of Mathematics Education Study Program Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar. This study used descriptive analysis techniques. Data collected through tests, interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the data analysis showed that the higher-order thinking skills percentage of students with very low categories of 18.18%, low 36.36% and moderate 45.45%. Online learning due to COVID-19 Pandemic also causes the difficulties for students to do group discussion as well as the decrease in student motivation. In contrast, students are more familiar with discrete mathematics concepts in their environment such as graph concepts and can use internet facilities in learning more effectively. Some solutions for the problems occurred are: 1) Using interactive learning, 2) Using Project-Based learning (PBL), 3) Discussing current trends in learning, 4) Demonstrating assertiveness, and establishing learning rules, and 5) Supporting students to get better internet facilities.
The increase in the number of internet users and their activities in cyberspace, including using social media, on the other hand, is also followed by an increase in the emergence of the negative impact of the digital world such as the misuse of social media. The phenomenon of social media misuse that is increasingly widespread today is hate speech. This is then triggered the Indonesian National Police to launch the Virtual Police. This paper used a normative juridical method, using the statute approach, and the conceptual approach. The data used are secondary data obtained through library research. The widespread and fast-growing hate speech in social media can lead to open conflicts and national disintegration, if not addressed immediately. One effective way to combat the spread of hate speech, as well as to prevent the spread of hate speech, is to form a team of cyber police called the Virtual Police. The Virtual police play an incredibly important role in countering hate speech on social media, especially because the settlement used is a restorative justice approach.
Berpikir pseudo merupakan salah satu penyebab terjadinya kesalahan mahasiswa dalam memecahkan masalah matematis. Berpikir pseudo dibagi menjadi dua, yaitu berpikir pseudo salah dan berpikir pseudo benar. Dalam penelitian ini dikaji berpikir pseudo salah, yang mana mahasiswa salah dalam memecahkan masalah matematis, namun dapat melakukan perbaikan setelah melakukan berpikir reflektif melalui intervensi terbatas yang diberikan oleh peneliti. Proses perbaikan yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa diamati melalui proses defragmentasi struktur berpikir yang terjadi. Hasil penelitian ini, mengungkap bahwa terjadi proses pengaktifan skema atau mahaisiswa mengaktifkan skema yang sudah dimiliki sebelumnya untuk memperbaiki kesalahan yang terjadi. Penelitian ini tergolong penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif eksploratif. Peneliti menggunakan tiga subjek untuk menggambarkan proses defragmentasi pengaktifan skema yang terjadi. Eksplorasi dilakukan pada saat melakukan studi pendahuluan dan pada saat penelitian.Kata Kunci: Berpikir pseudo-salah, intervensi terbatas, defragmentasi pengaktifan skema, dan memecahkan masalah matematis.
This study aims to reveal the fragmentation of thinking structure's students in solving the problems of application definite integral in area. Fragmentation is a term on the computer (storage) that is highly relevant correlated with theoretical constructions that occur in the human brain (memory). Almost every student has a different way to construct a problem. That's very interesting to finding a process of thinking students. Researcher works in three cases. The findings of this study were two in every case, which the fragmentation whole construction and fragmentation construction pseudo.
