Hydrate
cold storage and refrigeration technology have a good prospect.
Dimethyl ether (DME) has the characteristics of low pollution and
a good refrigeration effect, which can replace freon as a refrigerant
to reduce pollution due to the greenhouse effect and ozone depletion.
Tetrahydrofuran (THF), tetrabutylammonium bromide (TBAB), and cyclopentane
(CP) are common hydrate growth promotors. To comprehend the effect
of additives on the hydrate phase equilibrium, the phase equilibrium
conditions for the DME hydrate and with THF (0.095, 0.190 mass fractions),
TBAB (0.160 mass fractions), or CP (0.093 mass fractions) were measured.
The formation conditions of the DME hydrate are more moderate than
that of the CO2 hydrate. Moreover, the addition of CP with
a mass fraction of 0.093 has the best promotion effect. The results
provide a basis for both cold storage technology and refrigeration
technology.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
