E-waste recycling has become a hotly debated global issue.
This study, using China as a case study, analyzes the environmental,
economic, and social implications of e-waste recycling in the developing
world. More practical approaches, taking into account local economic
and social conditions and the principles of Extended Producer Responsibility,
are recommended to alleviate the increasing environmental disruption
from improper e-waste disposal.
Se-doped black phosphorus (BP) crystal, in centimeter scale, is synthesized by a scalable gas-phase growth method under mild conditions. The Se-doped BP exhibits high quality with excellent electrical properties. The Se dope induces over 20-fold enhancement of responsivity (R) for BP-based 2D photodetectors, resulting in a high R and external quantum efficiency of 15.33 A W and 2993%, respectively.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
