This report benefited from the efforts of Dr. Bruce William Dockum of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Fisheries James J. Howard Laboratory who passed unexpectedly during this study. Dr. Dockum was a consummate professional and a devoted analytical chemist. He paid rigorous attention to detail and meticulously documented his work. The details he attributed to the protocols provided essential information to his colleagues to continue the study. Dr. Dockum served as a mentor to students and colleagues and was well respected for his in-depth knowledge of chemistry.
