The present study deals with undoped and CuO:Ho2O3 doped Ba(Zr0.05Ti0.95)O3 perovskite compounds that were synthesized by the solid-state reaction method. The Rietveld refinement of the XRD data established the formation of a tetragonal phase having space group P4mm. A reduction in grain size and density with increasing Ho2O3 and CuO concentrations has been observed. An increase in the value of static dielectric constant and a considerable decrease in dielectric loss was observed in CuO:Ho2O3 doped Ba(Zr0.05Ti0.95)O3 ceramics. The room temperature value of energy storage density ( ξ = 93.30 mJ cm− 3) was measured in modified BZT ceramic corresponding to CuO:Ho2O3 composition, which may find an important application of this material in energy storage devices.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
