Superior to the homogeneous catalyst or physisorbed catalyst system is a system with the ansa-metallocene catalyst [{C H (1-ind) }Zr(CH )] on a support formed by covalently anchoring methylalumoxane (MAO) on the internal pore walls of MCM-41. This system is a highly active and shape-selective mesoporous host in the co-oligomerization [shown schematically in Equation (a)] of ethene and propene with ansa-metallocenes. TMA=trimethylaluminum, ind=indenyl.
The incorporation of TS-1 and Ti-MCM-41 catalysts in PDMS is proven to enable the oxidation of hexane and epoxidation of cis-cyclooctene, respectively, with high conversions under solvent-free reaction conditions.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
