The paper is devoted to enhance quality of life and well-being of a modern person. The ambiguity of the concepts such as "quality of life ", "standard of living" and "well-being" is taken into consideration. The most important problem of modern humanity -"saving health" is highlighted. Environmental aspects are identified as the most important factors of life. The analysis of the situation of the world's countries and Russia in the rating of Environmental Performance Index and well-being is conducted. The possibility of improving the environmental well-being through the development of environmental culture of the human is investigated. Five basic functions of environmental awareness ensuring the development of environmental culture have been isolated and analyzed. The formation's process of an environmental culture in people's minds is developed. A model of ecological wellbeing in modern society is represented.
This article is based on the analysis of the possibility of using Berkman's conceptual model of mechanism of social networks influence on human health to improve the well-being of the older generation in Russia. The emphasis is put on the development of social contacts of older people through the implementation of territorial marketing. Objective and subjective indicators of well-being of older people are directly related to the characteristics and peculiarities of the territory where they live and carry out their activities (city, region, country). In this context, marketing of territory can be regarded as an activity aimed at creating and maintaining comfortable living conditions of different age groups, taking into considerations their characteristics. Special attention is paid to the social and emotional mechanisms of social support, social influence, social inclusion, social participation, interpersonal contacts and access to resources and benefits the territory of older generation. Specificity of older adults segmentation of the region (the city) is defined. The importance of active cooperation of various age groups identified in the process of territorial segmentation of the market is particularly stressed, in terms of improving the lives of older adults
The article presents the results of a poll of older people on the example of a particular region (The Tomsk Region) to identify the need for an active lifestyle and penchant for productive work. The system of hypotheses under article issues is tested. The aim of the work is to analyze problems of older people which affect their labor activity. The empirical base for the study was the results of the survey (sample frame 400 pers.). The respondents were older people living in urban and rural areas of the Tomsk Region. To test the generated hypotheses statistical methods (analysis of variance, correlation analysis, etc.) are used. There are three main problems the elderly related to their needs and inclinations to work. It was determined that the formation of a stable demand of older people in productive work and active lifestyle will help to solve a number of problems of socio-psychological and economic nature at the present stage of social development in Russia and abroad.
