It has been found that hydrogen peroxide can act as an oxidant and as a reductant of transition metal complexes in acetonitrile. Therefore, the examples of catalytic currents of oxidants and reductants has been described. In the case of Co(acac) 3 both the types of catalytic currents are present in a single cyclic-voltammetric scan.

Abstract:The products of hydroxyalkylation of N,N'-bis(2-hydroxypropyl)urea (BHPU) with large molar excess of propylene carbonate (PC) posses enhanced thermal stability. These products and 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate were used as substrates for obtaining rigid polyurethane foams, which had high thermal stability and low water uptake.
