Haemaphysalis (Rhipistoma) punctaleachi sp. n. is described. Adults are recorded chiefly from civets; also from genets and a leopard, jackal, domestic dog, and antelope, in the Guinea Forest Province of West Africa eastward to eastern Uganda between about 11" N and 03" S. Haemaphysalis (Rliipistoma) puiactaleaclzi sp. n. is described. Adults parasitize carnivores in West African forests; one record is from a duiker.
