In this analysis of the National Health Interview Survey, Americans of lower socioeconomic status, who are unmarried, and with comorbidities were found to be at higher odds of severe psychological distress. Our findings may inform targeted support-based psycho-oncological interventions, such as shared medical appointments with other at-risk skin cancer patients.
