Quantitative ir spectroscopic studies showed that the reduction of K3PMo12O40 with H2 in the early stage proceeded by consuming two bridging oxygens per Keggin anion. The process was accompanied by the stoichiometric formation of Mo5+ according to the XPS measurements. It was suggested that terminal oxygens were removed after two oxygens per Keggin anion were taken off.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
