We perform mode-locking (ML) measurements in a tilted magnetic field, where the distorted Abrikosov lattice is driven fast by superimposed dc and ac currents. By increasing the amplitude of the ac velocity v ac , we examine the change in the lattice orientation as a function of the effective velocity v e . When the vortex lattice is expanded in the flow direction, v e -induced reorientation from perpendicular to parallel occurs at small v e . By contrast, when the moving lattice is expanded perpendicularly to the flow direction, only the perpendicular orientation is observed. The results are qualitatively consistent with recent ML measurements with small v ac , in which the dc-velocity and tilt-angle induced reorientation was studied [N. Kokubo, T. Yoshimura, and B. Shinozaki: J. Phys. Soc. Jpn. 82 (2013) 094702].
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
