Information and communication technology (ICT) utilization in the agricultural sector is crucial to increase productivity, farming efficiency, and agricultural information seeking. Therefore, increasing the number of young farmers who mastered employing ict is essential. The study was conducted to analyze the attitudes of young farmers in the Lebak Regency towards the sustainability of on-farm business based on the carrying capacity of ICT. The survey engaged 66 young farmers in Lebak Regency, which were drawn by proportional simple random sampling. Path analysis was applied to analyze the data. The result showed young farmers’ behaviour of seeking digital agriculture information directly affects the success of the seeking activities. The success of seeking digital agriculture information affects the attitude of on-farm activity sustainability. The behaviour of seeking digital agriculture information affects the attitudes of young farmers towards the sustainability of on-farm work through the success of seeking digital agriculture information.
The development of oyster mushroom business has not been able to meet the increasing consumer demand both in terms of quality and quantity. This happened because of limited funds and application of technology, limited skilled workers, and institutional optimization. Therefore the study aims to analyze: factors that affect the weak coordination function, and Strategic programs in the development of oyster mushroom business. The study was conducted in Enrekang District, South Sulawesi Province. Data were collected by descriptive research through an expert system approach using survey methods. Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM) used to analyze a strategic program in the development of the oyster mushroom business. The results showed that, Factors causing the weak coordination function in the planning and development of oyster mushroom businesses are Weak formation/training, Institutional disengagement from the start, and Weak Organizing; More strategic programs in planning and developing the oyster mushroom business are Provision/access to capital resources, Oyster Mushroom Price Guarantee, Increasing farmers’ knowledge and skills, and Effectiveness of counseling in the field.
The strategy of developing sustainable vegetable commodity in the future is not only directed at efforts to develop production in accordance with needs but strengthening institutional farmers is an important part to consider. The study aims to design a structural model of the role of institutions in the development of cayenne agribusiness systems. The study was conducted in Tarakan City, North Kalimantan as a small island of border area. Data collection is done by qualitative method. Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM) data analysis techniques is used to analyze data or information about institutions that play a role in the development of cayenne agribusiness systems and structural models of the role of institutions in developing cayenne agribusiness systems. The results showed that, the structural model of the institution’s role in the development of the cayenne agribusiness system is based on key actors including the cooperative and SMEs, and the agricultural technology assessment center.
Palm oil is one of the leading commodities of Nunukan Regency. However, problems related to institutions that play a role in the downstream agribusiness subsystem are not running optimally. This is due to limited information, weak coordination between institutions, weak capacity and optimization of farmer institutions. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the institutions that play a role in the downstream agribusiness subsystem. The research was conducted in Nunukan Regency, North Kalimantan Province. Data collection was carried out using a descriptive method through an expert system approach with a survey method. Data analysis with Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM). The results showed that 11 institutions that have an important role in the Downstream Oil Palm Agribusiness Subsystem in Nunukan Regency are (1). Department of Agriculture and Plantation, (2).
