The constant processes of interaction between cultures of different countries and religions that took place in it contributed to the prosperity of trade, science, and art. In addition, handicraft production was highly developed in Uchi Jochi. Urban craft included jewelry, pottery, construction, weaving, carving on various materials, various types of metalworking, etc. This diversity was due to the constant need for supply of many Golden Horde cities. The article provides an overview of the main types of the Golden Horde architectural decor. The study used generalized data from archaeological studies of the cities of the Golden Horde.
Noise became one of the main environmental indicators of the quality of urban life. The aim of this study was to develop a traffic noise model for an arterial road in Amman, the capital of Jordan, which was being subjected to a persistent increase in traffic and its related issues. The characteristics of the traffic and its relevant noise were analysed to develop a noise prediction model using an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS). A geographic information system (GIS) was then implemented to model the current noise along the arterial road. The results of ANFIS model showed that traffic delays and the percentage of heavy vehicles were the main causes of traffic noise generation within the urban area. However, the developed ANFIS model can simulate traffic noise with a relatively low root mean square error. Furthermore, this study will help to improve the perception about traffic noise and its development along arterial roads.
Traffic accidents present a serious problem for both developed and developing countries and have become an urgent matter to tackle in all large metropolitan areas. This study aims to perform a deep comprehensive analysis of the traffic accidents issue in Istanbul, one of the world’s most populous cities. The accidents were classified and its intensities were presented on Istanbul map using a GIS tool. Furthermore, the performance of Negative Binomial Regression analysis and Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) model was assessed. Data collection of independent variables included distribution of trips, percentage of street parking, rate of car ownership, street density and population density. Trips were divided into three categories, passenger car, minibus and bus trips. The results showed that four legs intersection got the highest proportion of accidents among the other types with (40%). It also demonstrated that increasing both the percentage of bus trips and the percentage of street parking will decrease the traffic accident rate. Furthermore, the implementation of ANFIS model increased the accuracy of forecasts and reduced errors more than the regression model.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
