The influence of low kinetic energy hydrogen ion irradiation on the chemical composition and luminescence intensity of MoS 2 nanoflowers (NFs) hydrothermally synthesized is reported. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) corelevel analysis of the as-synthesized MoS 2 NFs reveals the presence of the 2H-MoS 2 (semiconductor) crystal phase and MoO x . Furthermore, the relative amounts of oxygen and potassium decrease for increasing hydrogen ion irradiation time, whereas the photoluminescence (PL) intensity observed at 1.71 eV increased approximately three times.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
