This paper investigates adopting metaverse in academic institutions based on a conceptual model. The proposed conceptual model was created to empower future perspectives of the metaverse system. Even though the metaverses system was just recently launched, few attempts have been made to evaluate its impact on the educational sector. This paper attempted to determine the impact of metaverse system by providing a conceptual model that encompasses innovativeness, context awareness, perceived enjoyment, ubiquity, complexity, and value. The information was gathered using an online questionnaire completed by 953 people. The findings indicate that an innovative academic environment can influence teachers’ and students’ attitudes toward new technology. Understanding how the metaverse system functions as an innovative educational tool can influence students’ views regarding the use of new technology, assisting higher education institutions in developing regulations that enhance the learning process. As a result, the study discovered that the moderating impact of’ innovativeness is critical since it contributes to the pervasiveness of users’ perceptions of adopting new technology. The findings show that inventiveness is important in determining the metaverse system’s effectiveness. However, apparent ubiquity appears to have a less effective function in promoting the use of the metaverse system. The factors of context-awareness, perceived complexity and perceived enjoyment possess a substantial impact on the metaverse system’s adoption. Researchers have gained some insight into how university leaders can use current findings to spread awareness about the metaverse system in the educational environment by organizing seminars and workshops, offering incentives for teachers to use it, and allowing experts to assist teachers in better understanding the system’s benefits.
This article explored the effectiveness of employing the e-mind mapping strategy in scientific courses in Emirati private preparatory schools in the light of adopting the blended learning approach. It explored that from the perspective of students. The researchers adopted the descriptive analytical and quantitative approaches. They used a survey that was developed by them based on several studies. Those studies were published in peer-reviewed journals. The forms of the survey were uploaded to the web through using the use of Google Form. The purposive sampling method was employed. For instance, the researchers sent the link of the survey to 400 students in five Emirati private preparatory schools. Two schools of those ones are located in Ajman, one school in Abu Dhabi, one school in Dubai and one school in Sharjah. However, 182 forms were filled. The response rate is 45.5%. The researchers used descriptive statistical methods. They found that the effectiveness of employing the e-mind mapping strategy in scientific courses in Emirati private preparatory schools in the light of adopting the blended learning approach is high. This strategy promotes innovation within students and improves their learning skills. It enables students to carry out self-learning practices. It improves students’ ability to do writing-related tasks. The researchers recommend holding courses for teachers for teaching them the way of creating e-mind maps through using various software.
The metaverse is an imaginary network of parallel universes. Using this technology might liven up dull lecture halls. By expanding synchronous communication into the "metaverse," many individuals may have meaningful conversations and exchange perspectives. This research focuses on finding out how medical students in the UAE feel about the metaverse system. The conceptual model incorporates elements from the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), including perceived value and perceived ubiquity as adoption determinants. To test the validity of the suggested framework, a survey was developed and distributed to 369 full-time students at one of the universities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Machine learning (ML) and structural equation modeling using partial least squares (PLS-SEM) are used for data analysis. According to the results, the extent to which users saw value in and adoption of the metaverse system was a significant factor in whether or not they intended to participate. This study was helpful since it elucidated the relative significance of various healthcare components, allowing professionals to prioritize their efforts better.
This study explored the effectiveness of employing the imaginative learning strategy in scientific courses in Emirati private schools from the perspective of the teachers teaching scientific courses. The descriptive analytical approach was adopted to investigate such effectiveness, and in-depth interviews were carried out. Online in-depth interviews were conducted with thirty teachers (19 male teachers and 11 female teachers). Those teachers were chosen purposively. They teach science courses. They were chosen from six private schools in Sharjah, five private schools in Dubai, and three private schools in Dubai. The interviews were recorded and analysed to reach reliable results. Such analysis aims to identify the degree to which the targeted teaches employ this strategy. It aims to identify the impact of employing this strategy in scientific courses on the quality of education. It aims to identify the impacts of employing this strategy in scientific courses. It aims to identify the barriers and challenges that might be faced when employing this strategy by the targeted teachers. Several results were reached. For instance, respondents have positive attitudes towards employing this strategy in scientific courses. In addition, employing this strategy in scientific courses in Emirati private schools effectively improves the quality of education. The researchers recommend holding courses for teachers in UAE about the use of the imaginative learning strategy in scientific courses.
