This review aimed to gather the details about the fruits mentioned in the Qur'an. The fruits that exist in the Qur'an are the establishment and creation of Allah the Highest and the Wisest. It can be well-founded that the use of fruits in the Qur'an has their own importance through various aspects, both in terms of benefits and health. It has already been explained by previous scholars and it is still continued to be researched. Results of the diversity of bioactive compounds underlie the potential use and application of medical property as an excellent source of dietary supplements. Fruits that are found to be rich in multiphytochemicals are being considered as 'super' fruits due to their unique antioxidants. Gac fruit (Momordica cochinchinensis Spreng), is one of those 'super' fruits found to be rich in phytonutrients because of its portions such as aril, seeds, pulp and peel which have been widely used in folk healing and ancestral medicine. But, the entire potentiality towards the health benefits of Gac fruit is not well known or understood. Importantly, Gac fruit contains significantly higher amounts of lycopene and relatively high levels of β-carotene. The findings from this review suggest that the phytochemicals found in Gac fruit especially carotenoids and their potential health benefits.
Hadith studies have been going on since the times of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) with various methods. The teaching and learning (T&L) of hadith is an issue that researchers often study to enhance the level and quality of T&L itself. This is because there is the fact that the hadith lecturers are not creative in teaching, lack pedagogical skills and do not apply the latest innovative methods in the process of T&L. This meta-analysis was conducted to explore previous studies on the science of hadith studies in Malaysia from 2010 to 2021. Although there are many studies on hadith studies, there are still few studies in Malaysia. Based on the search, only seven studies are published on the science of hadith studies in Malaysia. The analysis conducted for these seven studies found certain elements in explaining the science of hadith studies in Malaysia. These studies also found that science of hadith studies in Higher Educational Institutions involved. In addition, this study also focused on the main findings of each study conducted. This study also examines the methodology of the study used. The findings of this study are intended to help future research in the science of hadith studies in Malaysia. In addition, this analysis also suggests some ideas for further research.
This study was conducted to analyse hadith and athar arguments in bay' 'inah contract based on the tarjih method. The study is based on the differences of opinion among Islamic scholars on the bay' 'inah contract on it authorise. Thus, the arguments from the disputing parties need to be analysed to determine the accurate opinion based on the tarjih method. This study is qualitative, starting with the library research, which collects secondary data from books and journals to form the research theory. Then all the arguments put forward by the scholars regarding the bay' 'inah contract were identified. Then the data were analysed using the content analysis method. The results of the study show two opinions on the bay' 'inah contract that the majority of scholars argue that the bay' 'inah contract is illegal. In contrast, the minority of scholars argue that the bay' 'inah is legal. The study also found that the opinion of the majority of scholars is rajih (accurate) after being analysed using the tarjih method that is because of the strength of hadith and athar arguments which specifically prohibits the bay' 'inah contract compared to the use of general ('umum) qiyas argument used by the minority.
Gac fruit is one of the exceptional varieties of fruits that contain numerous secrets and wonders; which according the text of Qur'an, the benefits of fruits in paradis frequently discussed and as natural resource, medical and health. However, since prior studies have solely concentrated on the content and nutrients of Gac fruit, the value chain ecosystem for this valuable product has not been explored through research. Therefore, this concept paper will literately focus on the nutritional position of this fruit according to the text in the Quran as well as the exploring the value chain that can strengthen the viability of the product. Methodology used to provide sufficient information on Gac fruit are the Qur'anic literature and value chain inter-sectoral upgrading model literature review. The findings of the study is expected to provide a list of Gac fruit's benefit according to Quran and products value chain as part of a large -scale source of food security and sustainability, as well as to reinforce the national aim in the Sustainable Development Goal led by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAFI).
