Patient meals are an integral part of hospital treatment and crucial to aid recovery. A cross-sectional study was conducted to determine the Management of Dietary Services at National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital. The purpose of this study was to make provision for safe, clean, hygienic and nutritious diet for the indoor patient as per their caloric requirement. This study compiled from 1st January to 31st December 2017 and the sample size was 113(dietary personnel 9 and patients 104) and it was purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through semi-structured questionnaire and observational check-list. Data analysis was done using SPSS software version 20. Satisfaction level was categories in to Satisfied and Dissatisfied. Among the service receiver of this hospital 15.4% were found satisfied with the dietary services. Cleanliness status of kitchen was average. It was highly suggested that the higher number of trained manpower needs to be appointed in future as required. Moreover, a standardize cooking system should be adopted by the authority for improving the quality of cooking food in order to obtain increased patient’s satisfaction. Asian J. Med. Biol. Res. Hospital acquired infections (HAI) are important causes of morbidity and mortality. The purpose of this study was to see the type of HAI and causative organisms of these infections among the paediatric patients in tertiary level hospitals of Dhaka city. This cross sectional study was conducted in three tertiary level hospitals in Dhaka City over a period of two years. A total of 1055 patients were observed and the study population comprised of all the admitted paediatric patients irrespective of sex and basic diseases who were found present during data collection period as admitted patients in the paediatric wards of the hospitals under study. Among 1055 pediatric patients admitted in all the three hospitals under study a total of 115 (10.9%) were affected by hospital acquired infections. Higher prevalence (14.0%) of Hospital-Acquired Infections (HAI) was found in surgery ward and the lower prevalence (9.2%) of HAI was found in medicine ward. The most common type of HAI was surgical wound infection 26(22.6%). Out of 115 HAI patients highest number 44(38.3%) were affected by staphylococcus aureusfollowed by E. coli23(20%). Update Dent. This paper presents a view to assess the level of knowledge and attitude of doctors regarding e-health in tertiary health care facility. It was a facility base cross-sectional study conducted among 150 doctors of 17 departments of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Dhaka in December 2015. A purposive sampling technique was done, and data were collected with a self-administered structured questionnaire. Chi-square test was done to find association between knowledge and attitudes. Around 62% respondents had correct knowledge about e-health with majority in telemedicine along with electronic medical records (EMR), electronic health record (EHR) and electronic prescribing. The doctors also showed positive attitudes (59%) towards e-health. They think that EMR would reduce errors regarding treatment and telemedicine can access health care services for patients anywhere in the country, help remove the problem of shortage of doctors and can save money. This cross-sectional study was conducted at OPD of Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH). This study aimed to assess the status of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) in a tertiary level hospital in Khulna city from 1st January to 31st December 2016. Total 200 samples were included purposively. Among them 150 respondents were health care receivers and 50 participants were health care providers and interviewed with a pre-tested semi-structured questionnaire and a checklist was used to collect information regarding administrative facility, physical facility and utility services. Data were analyzed by using Statistical Package for Social Science version (SPSS) 22 and appropriate statistical tests were performed. Most (62.3%) of the service receivers were satisfied about the doctors dealing in OPD. It was found that majority of service provider (82%) had not knowledge about CRM and its objectives. Majority (82%) of the service receiver came to hospital willingly and (47.3%) of service receivers were spent less than one hours for getting total treatment.). Most (40%) of service providers said that there were a lack of service provider, modern equipment and medication in the OPD and they recommended that enhanced manpower, modern equipment and adequate supply of medication. About half 49.3% of the service receivers suggested in manpower should be increased. Therefore, attempts could be taken to implement customer relationship management as a process for improving hospitals performance and improving communication between service providers and service receiver in hospitals. This study was conducted at CRP Saver Dhaka, with a view to described the various factors that affect the physical disabilities and psychosocial status of the disabled patients, from January to December, 2015. The sample size was 150 and the data were collected by using purposive sampling technique with face-to-face interview. The study revealed that, counterpart (42%). Rural area was found to have highest (56.7%) of Physical disabilities than urban areas (43.3%). Majority of respondents were come from middle and low income group. Neuromuscular disability found higher numbered (67%) than that of musculo skeletal disability (33%). Regarding reasons of disability stroke (25.3%) was in highest position followed by fall from height (21.39%), RTA (16%) and occupational (5.30%) respectively. Physical disability was one of the major causes of psychological problem. Physical disability hamper the social status, (10.7%) of the respondents were lost their jobs due to disabilities. Study found the significance difference between the physical disabilities and interruption of community involvement (χ2 =34.162, p=<0.05). Studies regarding psychosocial aspect among the disabled are rare. This study might be improving the understanding of psychosocial problem of the physical disabled and thereby strengthening the design of more effective identification, prevention and intervention strategies.
