Metamaterials which are formed by embedding inclusions and material components in the host media to achieve composite media that may be engineered to have qualitatively new physically realizable response functions that do not occur or may not be easily available in nature, have raised a great deal of interest in recent years. The potential ability to engineer materials with desired electric and magnetic properties to achieve unusual effects offers a great deal of excitement and promise to the scientific and engineering community. Several unusual shapes have been experimented upon by researchers leading to expansion of the world of negativity. In this paper one such shape namely 'AV' shape has been presented. Its permittivity and permeability are extracted and studied.Keywords-Double negative medium, Metamaterials, negative refractive index, V shape metamaterials, non-homogeneous media.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
