Over the past two decades, there has been a tremendous increase in the use of indigenous herbal medicinal plants in modern medicine; however, there is still a significant lack of research data in this field. This incomprehensive information base shades thedevelopment of a comprehensive research agenda especially in the context of developing Asian countries like Nepal. This chapter gives an overview of traditional medicinal plant Disporum Cantoniense,which is called hadjora (bone-joining) in Nepaliandhasbeen used since time unmemorable in case of bone fracture. Apart from this, D. cantoniense has various other medicinal uses in other regions around the globe.
