This study aimed to describe the Teun A Van Dijk's model text's dimensions in online news text discourse on Kompas.com Newspaper with the headline "Flashback to Distance Learning due to the Covid-19 Pandemic" on September 3, 2020. This study's data were speech and dialogue on the online media kompas.com, while the data source for the online newspaper kompas.com is in the form of news texts about distance learning flashbacks due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Data The data collection methods and techniques used the documentation method with the observation and note technique. In contrast, the data analysis method used the content analysis method with the Teun A Van Dijk model of critical discourse analysis approach. The results of this study indicate that the dimensions of Teun A Van Dijk's text consist of three parts, namely the superstructure, macro-structure, and microstructure measurements. The superstructure dimension is about coherence and schematic of text. The macrostructure dimension discusses thematic/topics, namely examining flashbacks or evaluating the implementation of the distance learning policy announced by the Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture. The measurements of the microstructure that found in background elements, details, intentions, presuppositions, sentence form (passive and active sentences), coherence (additive/addition coherence, causal coherence, and contrast coherence), pronouns (their pronouns and us), lexicon, graphics, and metaphors (figure of speech).

Social media nowadays has been crutial part of human being life particularly for the genarations those are so called millenial. The massive use of social media is not merely functioned for the social purpose such as information sharing among them but also has been used for business and economic or even political purposes. The local election of the Jawa Barat province in the year of 2018 is a moment where the millineal generation functioned the social media such as facebook and whattsap for the political purposes. This article discusses the phenomenon of using internet-based social media as an instrument in political communication and campaigning in the local election of West Java Province in 2018 as well as discussing the effectiveness of the media contents in shaping the pattern of millennial generation political behavior. The research adopts is qualitative approach by taking the object of research on political communication, as well as culture and political behavior. The main informants from this study were beginner voters who also catogerisaed as the group of the millennial generation. This study found that social media contents in general became an important instrument in shaping the pattern of political behavior of the millennial generation. The roles of the media for instance are indicated that current life of the millennial generation that cannot be separated from such media, social media contents provides political knowledges about profiles of candidates in local election, social media content provided political education both related to the technical implementation of the election and also the vision and mission of the candidates and, millennial generation have their respective communities which they make as a forum for discussion about the social media contents. Pemilu adalah salah satu moment politik dimana media sosial khusunya facebook dan whatsapp untuk kepentingan politik. Artikel ini membahas tentang fenomena penggunaan media sosial berbasis internet sebagai instrumen dalam komunikasi politik dalam kontestasi pemilukada Jawa Barat tahun 2018 serta efektifitas konten media sosial tersebut dalam membentuk pola perilaku politik generasi milineal. -The incompatibility between educational outcomes with the need of workforce is predicted due to the mismatch of workforce needs with the qualifications of produced graduates. Therefore, the learning in vocational programs must be able to give the solution. Work-Based Learning (WBL) is one of the learning in vocational education proved greatly effective to build the students' employability skills. The purposes of this writing are: (1) to reveal the importance of WBL in vocational education, (2) The effectiveness of WBL in building the employability skills of vocational education students in culinary department. Work-based learning models that used in this study is the model with the context of WBL Food Processing developed by Kokom Komariah (2013). The method used to see the effectiveness of the model with the observation sheet . The subject of this research consist of 40 students. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative. WBL is a bridge between the worlds of education and work. Buildable aspects of employability skills for vocational education students are dependability of working, the ability to cooperate, making judgments, initiative, interest, independence, politeness, discipline, and the ability to react to criticisms and suggestions. Therefore, WBL is a suitable learning or training method to produce excellent, skilled, and well-prepared workforces.
