The objective of the present stUdy was to obtain important 血formation for freez 血 g a target tumor down to a given temperature in cryosurgery using 血 e latest 1. 5 一 dia cryoprobe , Needle 1 for CryoHitTM system . To this end , freezing experiments were conducted with a tissue phantom made of O . 9 % NaCl aqueous solution gel . The result suggestOd that an 8− mm marg 血 at the periphery of the ice bal1 is needed for − 40 °C irrespective of the operating gas pressure . It was also demonstrated that the numerical analysis agreed well with the measurement , which hldicates the use 血 lness of numerical simulation for predicting temperatures .
