Surgery for limited-stage SCLC was associated with a favorable survival rate and provided important pathological information that can help predict survival. Accuracy of preoperative diagnoses showed no apparent impact on survival for surgically treated SCLC patients.
Preoperative serum ROM level was an independent significant predictive factor for nodal involvement in patients with clinical stage I lung adenocarcinoma. Hence, serum ROM level may be a useful biomarker for staging of lung adenocarcinoma.
