One-lung ventilation caused several changes in the whole respiratory system (lung, thorax, and endotracheal tube). Continuous monitoring of flow-rate-volume or pressure-volume loops with in-line spirometry provided comprehensive information regarding parameters in one-lung ventilation.
Parathyroid cysts (PC) are uncommon: only 230 cases have been reported. They can be functional or non‐functional. The standard treatment consists of percutaneous aspiration of the cyst and surgical excision for recurrent lesions. An unusual case of a functioning PC was successfully treated with sclerotherapy using minocycline hydrochloride in a 76‐year‐old woman. Following this procedure, the patient has remained asymptomatic with no recurrence. This is the first report of the effective use of minocycline hydrochloride in sclerotherapy for a PC.
