Acute spinal epidural hematoma is rare, but dramatic cause of paralysis. In other countries approximately 140 cases have been reported, of which 25% of these cases showed that the hematomas were located in the cervical region. In Japan 22 cases have been reported, of which only 4 cases located in the cervical region. The myelo-CT that shows a mass in the epidural space has a very diagnotic value. If surgical decompression can be accomplished early, the results are favorable. Our case, a 67 years old woman with an acute cervical epidural hematomas, showed complete recovery after surgical treatment.
