Economical and environmentally friendly waste-free production of petroleum products (arctic fuels and lubricants) in the closed production cycle is a key prerequisite for the integrated development of remote and inaccessible regions of Siberia. Closed-loop fuels production system includes the following processing chain: Production of hydrocarbons from the wells -Flow control and separation of oil/ water/ gas mixture -Additional preparation of oil (if necessary) -Cathalytic desulfurization (if necessary) -Production of fuels in thermo-cathalytic cracking system. All elements of this chain are represented by relatively compact and modular units are designed for autonomous operation in harsh environments. The main benefits that will apply the concept of a closed loop:• Economic efficiency -from the production of finished products for the consumer on the ground, rather to build costly export pipelines from remote areas. • Reduction of environmental risks in ecologically sensitive regions. • Creating conditions to develop local infrastructure by provision arctic fuels through all the seasons, local workforce involvement. • Use of natural resources in the interests of not only the present but also the future generations. • Energy security of the country -saving a significant part of the strategic resources of oil and gas in country.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
