Before surgery, the patients had chronic pain syndrome of mixed etiology (nociceptive and neurotic type) and neurological disorders that significantly affected quality of life and work capacity. Neuropathic pain and depression, reduced quality of life and daily activities were more pronounced in patients with central canal stenosis compared to patients with lateral stenosis. The timely surgical treatment of lumbar vertebral canal stenosis promoted the decompression of nervous structures. A significant reduction of pain syndrome and the level of depression as well as the improvement of quality of life were observed.
